Episode 7:  Where’s My Tribe? Identity and Belonging in a Digital Age

In a world where we are constantly connected through screens and social media, we strive to find our place, our community, and our clan. But what does it truly mean to belong? How do we navigate the complexities of identity in a digital age? These are questions that have become increasingly relevant as technology continues to shape and influence our lives and mental health.

Our Guest: Ian MacRae is a psychologist, award-winning author, and independent researcher specializing in the psychology of work, digital communication, and emerging technologies. He is the author of several books that have been translated into a dozen languages, including High Potential, Web of Value and Dark Social. He also serves on the British Psychological Society Division of Occupational Psychology Committee and Research Board.

Hello!

My name is Amynah Dharani and I am a psychotherapist.

As the host of The Love Vox podcast, I am very excited to welcome you. With each episode, we aim to bring you thought-provoking content that will not only educate but also inspire you to learn more about yourself.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible resilience and strength of individuals as they navigate through life’s challenges. But more so, I consider myself a forever student of life. My curiosity about our human self and social existence has led me down many paths of learning – from psychology to philosophy, neuroscience to spirituality.

And it is this ongoing quest for understanding that has motivated me to create The Love Vox – a podcast dedicated to exploring the fascinating complexities of the human condition and finding deeper meaning in the world around us.
